Este fin de semana tuve al perro de unos de mi amigo en casa. Yo lo he ayudado antes y me gusta porque me ayuda a despejar de mi trabajo. Cuando paseas con un perro  la vida como que es muy sencilla. Este que tiene mi amigo, es un canino muy alegre y obediente.

Resulta que durante los paseos suelo re-analizar lo que sucede en mi vida. En estos momentos estoy haciendo las gestiones pertinentes para comenzar a trabajar con mi negocio Internet a tiempo completo. Esto quiere decir que dejo mi empleo y  pierdo los ingresos de mi salario. Te cuento porque durante la caminata el domingo en la mañana sentí una angustia intensa.

Me asaltan  todos esos pensamientos negativos que aparecen  cuando vas hacer algo más allá de lo que acostumbra, fuera de tu “área de comodidad” …
¿Quién soy yo para dejar mi empleo y pensar que existen personas interesadas en mis servicios? ¿No es mejor “pájaro en mano que cien volando”? Qué pasará si fracaso, seguro todos verán que soy farsante, que no hay sustancia en mi idea de negocio …

Pero, como dice uno mis mejores amigos, la vida es corta, hay que disfrutarla y arriesgarse para conseguir lo que tu quieres.

Esto implica alzarse sobre las barreras que mis propios pensamientos y miedos imponen y luchar por alcanzar mis objetivos. En mi caso, es montar una empresa próspera. Si tengo éxito muchos podrán beneficiarse. Si fallo será una experiencia más en la vida para aprender.

Estoy seguro de que tú también has pasado por este tipo de momentos, en que una pequeña (gran) decisión, puede cambiar el curso de tu vida. La angustia, el miedo, la intranquilidad de no saber cómo será el futuro están ahí. Pero tus sueños y tus ganas de vivir, son aún más fuertes.

Cuéntame como tu has confrontado estos momentos en tu vida.

Te has decidido a llevar tu negocio a la red de Internet. Esta es tu primera campaña de promoción. Has reunido tus palabras claves, has abierto una cuenta de publicidad en el Google AdWords y puesto tu anuncio. El texto de este te parece muy bien.

Escuchando a tus visitantes y dándoles respuestas útiles crearás esa relación de confianza tan necesaria antes de que la venta pueda realizarse.

La apertura de una cuenta de publicidad y la búsqueda de las palabras clave para tu sitio web es sólo un eslabón en la cadena de mercadeo por Internet. Como empresario inteligente, debes tener un plan de marketing completo, que muestra el camino desde el anuncio de publicidad hasta decisión de compra del visitante.

If want to make money wherever in this world you have to use resources. The typical is to trade your time for money. Everybody got this precious resource from the very beginning of life. The problem is that you can only count with your own time to build your first capital.

As with all investment you have to be patient and savvy. Use some of your time to build something that eventually grows and become your money machine.

If you want to build your own online money machine I recommend you to start your own website. Start with the content. Brainstorm several topics you are interested in and you have learned or want to learn a lot about. Make a list of three to five topics they will be your niches.

Research how easy or hard could be to make money from them. One way is to look at affiliatetips.com and search for your niches at the best affiliate networks.

Choose your niche based on easiness to make money from with affiliate products, your interest level on the niche and the “sexiness” of it. With sexiness I mean that the dating topic in many cases is sexier than the scientific studies about the production of paper mass. You know

Make a keyword research about your niche.

Make a content list about subtopics based on your researched keywords in your chosen topic and put together 15 to 20 article/reviews/interviews of about 350 to 500 words.

Make some videos about the subtopics. Have patience it may take one or two months but you haven’t spend a cent and you’re building value.

By the time try to save $300 to $500. The money is to open your first site at SiteBuilder.com. Why there? Simply because they are good at teaching normal people how to build a website that works and earns money.

From that point you will get god advices how to continue. But have patience and focus on building your future net worth.

It’s been a while.

Sometimes the flow just stops and when it does it’s best not to fret. Relax and it’ll come back.

Business, or should that be busy-ness is usually the culprit, either that or exciting new things to learn and do.

Copywriting is all about the right state of mind. Not just your customer’s – YOURS!

Yes, your own state of mind plays a major role in copywriting.

Excited enthusiam is the emotion you need to be able to slip into at will.

Can you do that?

It’s one of the tricks to master, once you’ve studied and practised the nuts and bolts of good copywriting.

I’m going to begin a music collection and label it according to the emotion is brings about.

Plus an array of aromas.

Along with a headful of memories.

The older you are, the more life experience you have to tap into for achieving certain mind sets, ready to write.

You have a whole bank of ready-made experiences to use at will. What an opportunity!

Right now my neighbour seems to have a house full of toddlers. Strong, loud, urgent emotions pouring from their little bodies through the wall into my hearing range.

Easy to tap into these sounds ready to bring up the right emotion to begin copywriting. Particularly useful if you’re selling childcare services.

Or those birds singing their hearts out to be heard over the traffic.

Sweet and pure as a peaceful contrast to young raw human sounds.

You can use anything you like to begin the creative process.

You want to sell an oven cleaner? Just glance over at your filthy glass oven door and listen to the thoughts and feelings that come up inside your own mind.

Shame? Laziness? Anxiety about judgement? Frustration over lack of time? Annoyance at having to use precious life time for mundane tasks? Self-rightiousness? Snobbery? Does it make you feel slovenly? How about regret (about not wiping it down after every use, just like you vowed to when you first bought it?)

Those are the negatives.

How about the positives?

Anticipation of a spring clean? Sense of satisfaction about a decision made to clean it? No more acrid smell every time you bake? Triumphant about overcoming your natural tendency to leave unpleasant tasks until tomorrow?

Never forget that you have a lifetime of ready-made feelings and emotions to tap into at will in your copywriting.

Stay alert. Remain connected. Use your senses.

In my previous post about Maria Veloso’s book “Web Copy That Sells” I showed, the 5 easy questions web copy blueprint she has developed, where you get the structure of your copy.

One thing you MUST be aware of is that people buy on emotions and justify with logic. As she explains, it doesn’t matters how wonderful your vocabulary is, how excellent your grammar is, if your words lack emotion you won’t sell a thing.

Injecting Emotion into the Problem.

Think about the problem and try to depict what emotions are showing up.

Shame?  Laziness?  Anxiety about judgement? Frustration over lack of time?  Annoyance at having to use precious life time for mundane tasks?  Self-rightiousness?  Snobbery?

Then try to write down in phrases or questions. Some example Veloso gives are:

Don’t you just get hopping mad every time you give a kick-ass sales presentation and your prospect still won’t buy anything from you?

Does your ego get clobbered whenever your prospect says no?

Injecting Emotion into What’s Possible

Now you should think about the sensation of relieve that appears after the problem has been solved.

Use suggestive phrases or questions that talk about the possibilities.

Imagine what your life would be like if all your debts were paid and you had a triple-A credit?

Try to write down an emotional scenario where you paint a vivid picture of what it would be like for your reader to experience your product or service. It will connect the reader with your product or service on an emotional level.
